Vlogs from the Biggest Week in American Birding 2018

Birding Ecotours attends the Biggest Week in American Birding annually. In 2018, we made video blogs to give you some idea of how much fun the Birding Ecotours team has at this event each year. Enjoy these videos!

Yet another above average day at the boardwalk along the Magee Marsh trail with plenty of warblers, thrushes and other delightful migrants on offer for us. The Ohio spring migration is certainly something to behold!

With some south-westerly winds blowing overnight the birding today has been spectacular! Warblers of all kinds, thrushes, tanagers, orioles, wrens, and more entertained us all day long.

We’re exactly halfway through the Biggest Week in American Birding 2018 festival and still going strong. More and more migrant birds are continuing to show up around Magee Marsh.

Day 4 started with some cold and windy weather, which made the birding a little slow and tedious. However even on ‘slow’ days, the birding during the Biggest Week in American Birding is always impressive.

Only three days in and it’s already been a spectacular festival with lifers for all our guides and some great sightings of top-quality birds. The highlight of the day being fantastic views of a magical Snowy Owl.

On this second day of birding the Biggest Week in American Birding 2018 we managed to connect with more birds, more people and have more fun than ever.

We kick off the Biggest Week in American Birding with some guiding around Magee Marsh, with a plethora of warblers and other exciting migrants, and manning our stand at Maumee Bay.
